“Bearings for Every Severe Industrial Condition”

Steel & Cement
Bearings fail early due to heavy shock loads, dust contamination, and high temperatures. RYK uses robust internal geometry, high-load capacity design, and better sealing to survive harsh mill conditions.

Paper & Chemical
Moisture, chemicals, and washdowns cause corrosion and grease breakdown. RYK provides corrosion-resistant materials and sealing systems that protect lubrication in wet and chemical environments.

Paper & Textile
High-speed operation and fiber/dust ingress lead to overheating and frequent breakdowns. RYK offers low-friction precision bearings with effective sealing for smooth high-speed running.

Heavy Machinery & Material Handling
Misalignment, vibration, and variable loads cause premature fatigue and mounting failures. RYK bearings have alignment tolerance and strong internal construction for reliable performance under dynamic loads.
Technology & Manufacturing
Material & Design Control
Bearing designs are defined with controlled geometry and load parameters.
Design geometry is maintained within micron-level tolerances (±3–8 µm depending on bearing size) to ensure proper load distribution and rotational stability.
Raw materials are selected against specified chemical and mechanical requirements.
Bearing steels are selected to meet controlled composition and performance ranges, typically including:
- Carbon content: ~0.95–1.10%
- Chromium content: ~1.30–1.60%
- Inclusion control for improved fatigue life
- Post heat-treatment hardness capability: 58–64 HRC
Manufacturing Process
Components are produced through controlled machining and forming processes.
Rings and rolling elements are machined to maintain:
- Roundness: ≤ 2–5 µm
- Raceway profile accuracy within defined geometric limits
- Bore and OD tolerances as per bearing precision class
Heat treatment is carried out with defined temperature and time cycles to achieve the required hardness and stability.
- Austenitizing temperatures typically controlled within ±5–10°C
- Controlled quenching and tempering cycles
- Achieved hardness:
- Rings: 58–62 HRC
- Rolling elements: 60–64 HRC
- Dimensional stability maintained to minimize post-treatment distortion
Grinding and finishing operations are performed to achieve dimensional accuracy and surface consistency.
- Raceway surface roughness typically in the range of Ra 0.1–0.3 µm
- Bore and OD finish: Ra ≤ 0.4 µm
- Final size control often within ±2–5 µm
Assembly & Cleanliness
Bearings are assembled in controlled environments to limit contamination.
- Assembly areas maintained with controlled dust levels and filtered air
- Components cleaned prior to assembly to reduce particulate presence
- Handling procedures used to minimize foreign particle entry
Internal clearances and fits are verified during the assembly process.
- Radial internal clearance checked within defined class ranges (e.g., Normal, C3, etc.)
- Fit verification ensures proper interference/transition fit depending on application
Inspection & Quality Checks
Dimensional and visual inspections are conducted at multiple stages.
- 100% critical dimension checks on raceway geometry and ring sizes
- Surface defect inspection under magnification where required
Functional checks are carried out to ensure smooth rotation and consistency.
- Rotation smoothness and noise behavior were evaluated
- Random sampling used for torque and running behavior checks
Batch-level verification ensures interchangeability across applications.
- Batch traceability maintained
- Sample-based verification of dimensional conformity and hardness per batch
Process Discipline
Manufacturing and inspection activities follow documented procedures.
- Process parameters recorded for key operations (heat treatment, grinding, finishing)
- Equipment calibration is carried out at defined intervals
Continuous monitoring is used to maintain consistency across production batches.
- Statistical monitoring applied on critical dimensions
- Variation trends are reviewed to maintain process stability
